  1. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR RH

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR LH

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  5. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE OIL PAN PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY (for 1-piece Type)

  8. REMOVE OIL PAN PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY LH (for 2-piece Type)

  9. REMOVE OIL PAN PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY RH (for 2-piece Type)

  10. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  11. REMOVE NO. 5 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE NO. 4 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

  14. REMOVE MONOLITHIC CONVERTER ASSEMBLY RH

  15. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  16. REMOVE MONOLITHIC CONVERTER ASSEMBLY LH

  17. REMOVE NO. 3 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

  18. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

  19. REMOVE EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

Exhaust Pipe (W/ Dpf) -- Removal


CAUTION:
  1. Wear protective gloves and protective glasses when removing the exhaust pipe.
  2. The exhaust pipe is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.
  3. Confirm that the exhaust pipe has cooled down before removing it.


1. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR RH

  1. Remove the 4 clips and front fender apron seal rear RH.



3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR LH


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Remove the 4 clips and front fender apron seal rear LH.



4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Remove the 6 bolts and No. 2 engine under cover.



5. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the bolt, clamp and gasket.

  1. Disconnect the tailpipe from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.



6. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and 2 compression springs.

  1. Disconnect the center exhaust pipe from the 3 exhaust pipe supports.

  1. Remove the gasket from the No. 5 exhaust pipe and front exhaust pipe.



7. REMOVE OIL PAN PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY (for 1-piece Type)

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and oil pan protector assembly.



8. REMOVE OIL PAN PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY LH (for 2-piece Type)


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Remove the 6 bolts and oil pan protector assembly LH.



9. REMOVE OIL PAN PROTECTOR ASSEMBLY RH (for 2-piece Type)


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and oil pan protector assembly RH.



10. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Slide the 2 clamps and disconnect the 2 air hoses from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

  1. Disconnect the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector and detach the clamp.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts and front exhaust pipe.

  1. Remove the gasket.



11. REMOVE NO. 5 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and No. 5 exhaust pipe.

  1. Remove the gasket.



12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Disconnect the 2 air hoses.

  1. Disconnect the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector and detach the clamp.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts and front No. 2 exhaust pipe.

  1. Remove the gasket.



13. REMOVE NO. 4 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

NOTICE:
If the sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

  1. Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, remove the 2 No. 4 exhaust gas temperature sensors.



14. REMOVE MONOLITHIC CONVERTER ASSEMBLY RH


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Disconnect the 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor connectors and detach the 4 clamps.



    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and manifold stay.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts and monolithic converter RH.

  1. Remove the gasket from the turbocharger.



15. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

16. REMOVE MONOLITHIC CONVERTER ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Disconnect the 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor connectors and detach the 4 clamps.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 manifold stay.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts and monolithic converter LH.

  1. Remove the gasket from the turbocharger.



17. REMOVE NO. 3 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

NOTICE:
If the sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

  1. Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, remove the No. 3 exhaust gas temperature sensor.



18. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

NOTICE:
If the sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

  1. Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, remove the No. 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor.



19. REMOVE EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR
