Instrument Panel Safety Pad -- Disassembly |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
- The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
| 1. REMOVE CENTER HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT |
Remove the 3 screws and center heater to register duct.
 |
| 2. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 AIR DUCT (w/ Rear Air Duct) |
Remove the 2 screws and rear No. 1 air duct.
 |
| 3. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY |
Detach the claw and remove the wire.
 |
Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the instrument panel wire from the front passenger airbag.
- NOTICE:
- When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Remove the 2 screws.
 |
Detach the 5 hooks (A).
 |
Detach the 5 hooks (B) and remove the front passenger airbag from the instrument panel.
| 4. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY |
Detach the 11 claws and remove the defroster nozzle.
 |
| 5. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE |
Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 side defroster nozzle.
 |
| 6. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE |
Detach the 3 claws and remove the No. 2 side defroster nozzle.
 |
| 7. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Multi-display) |
for LHD:
Detach the 2 clamps.
Remove the 2 screws and navigation antenna assembly.
for RHD:
Detach the 2 clamps.
Remove the 2 screws and navigation antenna assembly.
| 8. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Multi-display) |
for LHD:
Detach the 8 clamps and remove the antenna cord.
for RHD:
Detach the 6 clamps and remove the antenna cord.
| 9. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Multi-display) |
for LHD:
Detach the 7 clamps and remove the antenna cord.
for RHD:
Detach the 5 clamps and remove the antenna cord.
| 10. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (for LHD) |
Detach the clamps and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire from the instrument panel.
| 11. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (for RHD) |
Detach the clamps and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire from the instrument panel.
