Front Seat Assembly (For Manual Seat) -- Removal |
- CAUTION:
- Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
- The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
| 1. PRECAUTION |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).
| 2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY |
Remove the front seat headrest assembly.
| 3. REMOVE REAR OUTER FRONT SEAT TRACK COVER LH |
Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the front seat assembly LH to the foremost position.
Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the rear outer front seat track cover LH.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

| 4. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH |
Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the rear inner seat track bracket cover LH.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
 |
| 5. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH |
Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.
Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the front outer track bracket cover LH.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

| 6. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH |
Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the front inner seat track bracket cover LH.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

| 7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH |
for Power Tilt and Power telescopic Steering Column:
Disable the Autoaway/Return function by changing the customize parameter (Click here).
- NOTICE:
- Record the current customize parameter setting (whether the Autoaway/Return function is enabled or disabled) in order to restore the current setting after finishing the operation.
- HINT:
- Performing the above operation causes the Autoaway/Return function to be disabled when the ignition switch is turned off.
Turn the ignition switch to ON. Operate the tilt and telescopic switch to fully retract and tilt up the steering column assembly.
Turn the ignition switch off.
Remove the 2 bolts.

Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the front seat assembly LH to the foremost position.
Remove the 2 bolts.
 |
Operate the seat track adjusting handle to move the front seat assembly LH to the center position, and operate the reclining adjusting handle and move the seatback to the upright position.
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. (Click here)
w/ Wire Harness:
Disconnect the connectors under the front seat assembly LH.
Remove the front seat assembly LH from the vehicle.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
