Stop Light Switch -- Installation


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
  2. The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


1. INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Attach the 2 claws to install a new stop light switch mounting adjuster.



2. INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Insert the stop light switch to the stop light switch mounting adjuster until it slightly touches the brake pedal.

    NOTICE:
    Do not depress the brake pedal.

  1. Rotate the stop light switch clockwise by approximately one fourth of a rotation.

    Torque:
    1.5 N*m{15 kgf*cm, 13 in.*lbf}

  1. Check the protrusion amount of the shaft.

    1.5 to 2.6 mm (0.0591 to 0.1024 in.)

  1. Connect the connector.



3. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Connect the connector.

  1. Attach the 3 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  1. Install the 2 screws <A>.
