CHECK FOR DTC

DTC C1626 Steering Angle Sensor Failure


DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the parking assist ECU receives a signal via CAN communication from the steering sensor that indicates an internal malfunction.

A fail flag is transmitted from the steering angle sensor.
  1. Steering sensor
  2. Parking assist ECU

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. When "System initializing" is displayed on the parking assist ECU after the battery terminal disconnected, correct the steering angle neutral point (Click here).
  2. Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system (w/ Side Monitor System) may be needed (Click here).
1.REPLACE STEERING SENSOR

  1. Replace the steering sensor with a normally functioning one (Click here).

2.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

    OK:
    DTC C1626 is not output.
