1. CHECK TRANSFER OIL

  1. Remove the filler plug and gasket.

  1. Check that the oil level is between 0 to 5.0 mm (0 to 0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the filler plug hole.
    If the result is not as specified, add transfer oil.

    Viscosity:
    SAE 75W
    Standard Capacity:
    1.4 to 1.5 liters (1.5 to 1.6 US qts, 1.2 to 1.3 Imp. qts)
    NOTICE:
    Too much or too little oil will lead to transfer problems.
  1. When the oil level is too low, check for oil leaks.

  1. Install a new gasket onto the filler plug and then tighten the plug.

    Torque:
    37 N*m{377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf}


2. ADD TRANSFER OIL


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200
  1. Remove the filler plug and gasket.

  1. Add oil so that the oil level is between 0 to 5.0 mm (0 to 0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the filler plug hole.

    NOTICE:
    1. Add oil slowly.
    2. Add oil a little at a time, waiting several minutes between each addition of oil.
  1. Wait approximately 5 minutes and check that the oil level has not changed.

  1. Install a new gasket onto the filler plug and then tighten the plug.

    Torque:
    37 N*m{377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf}
