Center Airbag Sensor Assembly -- On-Vehicle Inspection



1. CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

2. CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)

  1. Perform a diagnostic system check (Click here).



3. CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED)

  1. Replace the center airbag sensor.

    CAUTION:
    For removal and installation procedures of the center airbag sensor, be sure to follow the correct procedure.
    HINT:
    The center airbag sensor should be replaced after any of the airbags have deployed, as it has been subjected to the impact.
