INSPECTION PROCEDURE
CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM
CHECK ENTRY AND START SYSTEM (for Start Function)
CHECK SEAT POSITION MEMORY AND RESTORING FUNCTION
READ VALUE USING GTS (DOOR COURTESY SW)
CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION (MEMORY REGISTRATION)
READ VALUE USING GTS (Mem SW No. w/KeyID)
CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION (MEMORY REGISTRATION AND AUTOMATIC MEMORY CALL FUNCTION)
REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)
CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION (MEMORY REGISTRATION)
REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH

FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Seat Position Memory System) - Wireless Transmitter Memory Function does not Operate |
DESCRIPTION
With the engine switch off and the driver door closed, press the transmitter lock or unlock switch while holding a seat memory switch (seat memory switch 1, seat memory switch 2 or seat memory switch 3). Doing so will register the transmitter recognition code into the seat memory switch that was pressed. After the registration is complete, the answer-back buzzer sounds.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- NOTICE:
- The front power seat control system uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there is no malfunction in the CAN communication system. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure (Click here ).
- The seat position will not be stored if the SET switch and 2 or more of the seat memory switches (for example, M1 switch and M2 switch) are pressed simultaneously. If a memorizing operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory function does not operate unless the switches are released.
- The seat will not return to the memorized position if 2 or more of the seat memory switches (for example, M1 switch and M2 switch) are pressed simultaneously. If a restoring operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory restoring function does not operate unless the switches are released.
- Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) or the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), refer to the Entry and Start System (for Entry Function) (Click here).

Check the manual lock/unlock function by using the door control switch (multiplex network master switch assembly) (Click here).
- OK:
- Manual lock/unlock function operates normally.
2.CHECK ENTRY AND START SYSTEM (for Start Function) |
Check that the engine starts normally when the engine switch is pressed while carrying the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly and with the brake pedal depressed (Click here).
- OK:
- Engine starts normally.

4.READ VALUE USING GTS (DOOR COURTESY SW) |
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

6.READ VALUE USING GTS (Mem SW No. w/KeyID) |
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.

Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
