INSPECTION PROCEDURE

CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL FUNCTIONS

CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL FUNCTION

CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (SEAT POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION)

CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION (REGISTER RECOGNITION CODE)

FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Seat Position Memory System) - Wireless Transmitter Memory Function does not Operate


DESCRIPTION

With the engine switch off and the driver door closed, press the transmitter lock or unlock switch while holding a seat memory switch (seat memory switch 1, seat memory switch 2 or seat memory switch 3). Doing so will register the transmitter recognition code into the seat memory switch that was pressed. After the registration is complete, the answer-back buzzer sounds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL FUNCTIONS
  1. Using the standard operation procedure, check that the wireless door lock/unlock operates normally.

    OK:
    Wireless door lock/unlock operates normally.
    HINT:
    The standard operating procedure is as follows:
    Hold the transmitter approximately 1 m (3.28 ft.) from the driver door outside handle. Press and hold the transmitter lock or unlock switch for 1 second.

2.CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL FUNCTION
  1. Using the standard operation procedure, check that the power door lock/unlock operates normally.

    OK:
    Power door lock/unlock operates normally.

3.CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (SEAT POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION)
  1. Perform a memory operation properly. Check that the buzzer sounds to indicate the completion of the memory operation.

    NOTICE:
    1. The seat position will not be recorded if the seat memory SET switch and 2 or more of the seat memory switches (for example, seat memory switch 1 and seat memory switch 2) are pressed simultaneously.
    2. If a memorizing operation has failed, release all switches. The seat memory function does not operate unless the switches are released.
    OK:
    Seat memory switch function operates normally.

4.CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION (REGISTER RECOGNITION CODE)
  1. While pressing the seat memory switch 1, seat memory switch 2 or seat memory switch 3, press the transmitter lock or unlock switch. Then check that the buzzer sounds normally.

    OK:
    Buzzer sounds normally.
