Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System -- Dtc Check / Clear



CHECK DTC

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  3. Turn the GTS on.

  4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise1 or Radar Cruise2 / Trouble Codes.

  5. Read the DTCs.


CHECK DTC (Using SST Check Wire)

  1. Turn the engine switch off.

  2. Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.

    NOTICE:
    Connect the correct terminals to avoid a malfunction.

  3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    HINT:
    The cruise control indicator in the combination meter assembly blinks. The DTC is indicated by the number of times that the indicator blinks and the blinking interval.


  4. Read the DTCs (number of times the cruise control indicator blinks).

    HINT:
    1. 2-digit DTCs are output from the indicator light.
    2. When the system is normal, the light repeatedly blinks on and off at 0.25-second intervals.
    3. If there is only 1 DTC, the same code is output at 4.0-second intervals. If multiple codes are output, different codes are output at 2.5-second intervals. A 4.0-second pause occurs after all the codes are displayed, and then the codes repeat.
    4. If 2 or more codes are output, the codes are output in increasing order starting with the smallest code.

  5. Disconnect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.


CLEAR DTC

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  3. Turn the GTS tester on.

  4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise1 or Radar Cruise2 / Trouble Codes.

  5. Clear the DTCs.
