  1. CHECK DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

  2. CHECK DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)

Knee Airbag Assembly (For Driver Side) -- On-Vehicle Inspection



1. CHECK DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Perform a diagnostic system check (Click here).

  1. With the driver side knee airbag installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the driver side knee airbag with a new one:
    Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the driver side knee airbag.



2. CHECK DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Perform a diagnostic system check (Click here).

  1. With the driver side knee airbag removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the driver side knee airbag with a new one:

    1. Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the driver side knee airbag.
    2. Cracks or other damage to the connector.
    3. Deformation or cracks on the instrument panel reinforcement.
    NOTICE:
    For removal and installation procedures of the driver side knee airbag, be sure to follow the correct procedure.
