DTC C1AE7 Rear Left Center Sensor Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor) is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and move the shift lever to R. Then clear the DTC.
1.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

    OK:
    DTC C1AE7 is not output.

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (Click here)

2.REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (RLC SENSOR)

  1. Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor) with a normally functioning one (Click here).
