    Turns to Upward Fully

    1. Using the outer mirror switch assembly (mirror select switch) and mirror control switch, fully turn the mirror upward.

    2. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds and the outer mirror position is memorized when the seat memory switch M3 is pressed while the seat memory SET switch is being pressed.

    3. Change the position of the outer mirror and then press the seat memory switch M3. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the outer mirror automatically moves to the recorded fully-upward position.

  7. When the outer mirror is in the driving position, check that the seat memory switch M1, seat memory switch M2 and seat memory switch M3 cause the outer mirror to move to the recorded outer mirror positions under these conditions: turn the engine switch off, open the driver side door and press the seat memory switch M1, seat memory switch M2 or seat memory switch M3 within 20 seconds.

  8. Check that the following procedures clears the recorded outer mirror positions of the seat memory switch M1, seat memory switch M2 and seat memory switch M3: press and hold the power seat slide switch; disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal; and wait for at least 1 minute.

  9. Confirm that all recorded outer mirror positions are cleared. Then attempt to record the outer mirror position by pressing and holding the seat memory SET switch and 2 other switches (among seat memory switch M1, seat memory switch M2 and seat memory switch M3). Check that no outer mirror positions are recorded by individually pressing seat memory switch M1, seat memory switch M2 and seat memory switch M3 and making sure that the outer mirror does not move.

CHECK POWER RETRACTABLE MIRROR
  1. Turn the engine switch on (ACC).

  2. At each outer mirror body position, check the retractable mirror operation when operating the retract switch of the outer mirror.

    1. When the mirror body is moving to the retracted or driving position, restrain the mirror body by hand. Check that the mirror stops moving.

    2. With the mirror body stopped partway, push the retract switch. Check that the mirror body moves in the opposite direction.

CHECK REVERSE-SHIFT-LINKED OPERATION OF MIRRORS
  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  2. Set the outer mirror switch assembly (mirror select switch) to L or R.

  3. Check that the mirror faces downward when the shift lever is moved to R.

  4. Check that the outer rear view mirror returns to the original position when one of the following conditions is met:

    1. Shift lever is moved to other than R.
    2. outer mirror switch assembly (mirror select switch) is in the neutral position (off).
    3. Engine switch is turned off.

CHECK MIRROR HEATER (w/ Mirror Heater)
  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  2. Check that pressing the rear defogger switch illuminates the indicator and warms the mirror surface.

  3. Check that after approximately 15 minutes, the indicator light turns off and the mirror heater deactivates.

CHECK MEMORY CALL FUNCTION (w/ Memory)
  1. AUTOMATIC MEMORY CALL OPERATION INSPECTION

    1. With the transmitter recognition code registered into the memory system, perform an entry unlock or wireless unlock operation. Open the driver door and check that the front seat, front seat belt anchor, steering wheel and outer rear view mirror automatically move to the positions recorded in memory.

  2. MEMORY REGISTRATION (WITH WIRELESS FUNCTION)

    1. Prepare by recording the driving position through the seat memory switch (seat memory switch M1, seat memory switch M2 or seat memory switch M3).

    2. With the driver door closed, turn the engine switch from ON to OFF, then press and hold both of the following: a seat memory switch (seat memory switch M1, seat memory switch M2 or seat memory switch M3) and the transmitter unlock switch. Continue holding the switches until the answer back buzzer sounds.

      NOTICE:
Do not bring 2 or more keys into the vehicle.
      HINT:
      1. Either the lock or unlock switch on the door control switch can be pressed.
      2. The door control switch on the driver side or front passenger side can be used.
  3. MEMORY ERASURE (WITH WIRELESS FUNCTION)

    1. With the driver door closed, turn the engine switch from ON to OFF, then press and hold both of the following: the seat memory SET switch and transmitter unlock switch. Continue holding the switches until the answer back buzzer sounds.
