When either of the following conditions is met:
  1. While the motor relay is in operation, the condition that the fluid pressure is 0.6 MPa (6.1 kgf/cm2, 87 psi) or less continues for 0.6 seconds.
  2. When the vehicle is climbing a slope, no changes are detected in the fluid pressure for 8 seconds 3 times consecutively.
  1. Fluid level low
  2. Harness or connector
  3. Suspension control relay (AHC)
  4. Height control pump and motor
  5. Suspension control ECU

NOTICE:
  1. Before performing troubleshooting, inspect the connectors of related circuits.
  2. If the suspension control ECU or height control sensor is replaced, the vehicle height offset calibration must be performed (Click here).

2.INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK
  1. Inspect for fluid leaks (Click here).

    No fluid leakage.

3.INSPECT SUSPENSION CONTROL RELAY (AHC)
  1. Remove the suspension control relay (AHC) from the engine room relay block.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:

    Battery voltage is not applied to terminal 1 and 2

    Battery voltage is applied to terminal 1 and 2
    Below 1 Ω

4.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU - ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK AND BODY GROUND)
  1. Remove the suspension control relay (AHC) from the engine room relay block.

  1. Disconnect the K36 suspension control ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:

    K36-16 (RC) - Engine room relay block suspension control relay (AHC) terminal 1

  1. Remove the suspension control relay (AHC) from the engine room relay block.

  1. Disconnect the L86 height control pump and motor connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:

7.CHECK OPERATION OF HEIGHT CONTROL PUMP AND MOTOR

  1. Remove the height control pump and motor (Click here).

  1. Apply battery voltage to the height control pump and motor and check the operation of the motor.

    OK:
    Measurement Condition
    Specified Condition
    Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
    Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
    Motor operates

    NOTICE:
    1. Be careful of fluid spray when the height control pump and motor is operating.
    2. Do not allow the motor to operate for 60 seconds or more.
    3. If the height control pump and motor is shorted, locked, or has a similar type of malfunction, a large amount of current will be flowing. Therefore, if the motor does not operate, immediately stop this inspection.
