DTC B2768 Tilt Sensor Internal Circuit Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

  1. This DTC is stored when one of the following occurs: 1) theft warning tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor) power supply malfunction; 2) theft warning tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor) open malfunction; or 3) EEPROM malfunction.

  1. Theft warning tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor) power supply malfunction
  2. Theft warning tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor) open malfunction
  3. EEPROM malfunction
  1. Theft warning tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor)
  2. Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.
  2. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
  3. w/ Door Control Battery:
    As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), first perform the inspections in On-Vehicle Inspection to confirm that there are no malfunctions in the power source circuit for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) before performing this troubleshooting procedure (Click here).
1.CHECK FOR DTC
  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG), then off.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to "ARMED STATE".

  1. Check that the security indicator changes from illuminated to blinking.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to "DISARMED STATE".

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

    OK:
    DTC B2768 is not output.

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (Click here)

2.REPLACE THEFT WARNING TILT SENSOR (YAW RATE SENSOR)
  1. Temporarily replace the theft warning tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor) with a new or normally functioning one (Click here).

3.CHECK FOR DTC
  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Turn the engine switch on (IG), then off.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to "ARMED STATE".

  1. Check that the security indicator changes from illuminated to blinking.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to "DISARMED STATE".

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

    OK:
    DTC B2768 is not output.
