DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling motor receives a signal from the headlight swivel ECU to operate. The headlight swivel ECU receives a signal indicating the operating conditions of the headlight leveling motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
  2. After replacing the headlight swivel ECU, initialization of the ECU is necessary (except w/ Dynamic Headlight Auto Leveling) (Click here).
1.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

    OK:
    DTC B2417 or B2418 output does not occur.

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (Click here)

2.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR)

  1. Using the intelligent tester, perform the Active Test (Click here).

    1. *: Perform the Active Test with the engine running and vehicle stopped.

    Headlight leveling motors operate normally.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  1. Disconnect the E101 headlight swivel ECU connector.

  1. Disconnect the A54*1 or A58*2 headlight unit connector.

    1. *1: for LH
    2. *2: for RH

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
