1. INSPECT TEMPERATURE SENSOR

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    1 - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher
    2 - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher

  1. Immerse the sender portion of the temperature sensor in the Toyota Genuine ATF that has been prepared in a container.

  1. While warming the Toyota Genuine ATF, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		ATF Temperature
    		Specified Condition
    1 - 2
    		20°C (68°F)
    		10.3 to 13.9 kΩ
    115°C (239°F)
    		657.1 to 726.3 Ω
    CAUTION:
    Do not overheat. Otherwise, fire may occur.
    If the result is not as specified, replace the temperature sensor.
