1.PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Click here).
- When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal while performing repairs, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).
2.PRECAUTION WHEN USING GTS |
When using the GTS with the engine switch off, connect the GTS to the DLC3 and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the GTS and the vehicle begins. Then select the Model Code "KEY REGIST" under manual mode and enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry&Start. While using the GTS, periodically turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less to maintain communication between the GTS and the vehicle.

4.PRECAUTIONS FOR BATTERY |
Immediately after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery cable, the entry unlock function may not operate. If this occurs, the entry unlock function can be restored by performing a wireless door lock and unlock or mechanical key operation.
When the battery is discharged, if the 12 V battery of another vehicle is used to jump start the engine, move the shift lever to P and open and close the driver door with the engine switch off before starting the engine.
After the battery is removed and reinstalled, be sure to wait 10 seconds or more before the next engine start. The engine may not start immediately after the battery is reinstalled.
- HINT:
- After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery cable, the engine may not start on the first attempt. If this occurs, turn the engine switch off. The engine will start normally from the second time onward.
- When the battery cable is disconnected and reconnected, the power source mode returns to the mode it was in before the battery cable was disconnected.
