  2. INSPECT LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle Involved in Collision and Airbag has not Deployed)

1. INSPECT LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle not Involved in Collision)

  1. Perform a diagnostic system check (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000KT10EAX.html).

  1. With the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects, such as those mentioned below, replace the instrument panel with a new one: Any cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.



2. INSPECT LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle Involved in Collision and Airbag has not Deployed)
CAUTION:
For lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly removal and installation procedures, see pages YARIS_NCP93 RM000003SRB00DX.html and YARIS_NCP93 RM000003SR900DX.html, and carefully follow the correct procedure.

  1. Perform a diagnostic system check (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000XFD0E4X.html).

  1. With the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects, such as those mentioned below, replace the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly, instrument panel or instrument panel reinforcement with new ones:

    1. Any cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
    1. Any cracks or other damage to the connector.
    1. Deformation or cracks on the instrument panel or instrument panel reinforcement.
