REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for 60/40 Split Seat Type RH Side)
Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly (For Hatchback 3 Door) -- Removal |
- CAUTION:
- Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000KT10EAX.html).
- HINT:
- The procedure described below is for the RH side. Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides, unless otherwise specified.
1. PRECAUTION |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (YARIS_NCP93 RM00000482L007X.html).
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- CAUTION:
- Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag from working.
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for 60/40 Split Seat Type LH Side) |
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for 60/40 Split Seat Type RH Side) |
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type) |
6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE |
Disengage the 8 claws and remove the front door scuff plate.

7. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP |
Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

8. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY |
Disengage the 3 claws to remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.

Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor part of the front seat outer belt assembly.

9. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY |
Disengage the 8 clips and 10 claws.

Disengage the 3 guides and remove the quarter trim panel.
10. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISH |
Remove the 2 screws and disengage the clip.

Pass the front seat outer belt through the slit in the center pillar upper garnish and remove the center pillar upper garnish.
11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY |
Remove the bolt and the shoulder anchor.

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, release the locking button.

Disconnect the pretensioner connector.

Remove the 2 bolts.

Disengage the 2 hooks and remove the front seat outer belt assembly.
