Front Seat Assembly (For Hatchback Driver Side) -- Removal |
- CAUTION:
- Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000KT10EAX.html).(w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
- If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with a new one. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
- NOTICE:
- Always use "TORX" socket wrench E10 when removing the front seat.
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag) |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (YARIS_NCP93 RM00000482M008X.html).
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag) |
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
3. REMOVE SEAT TRACK OUTER COVER |
Move the seat to the foremost position.
Disengage the 2 claws to remove the seat track outer cover.

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY |
Disengage the front seat wire clamp.
Disconnect the buckle switch connector.
Disconnect the front seat side airbag connector. (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)
Push the slider with a finger to disengage the first claw. Without releasing your finger, slide the slider to disengage the second claw and disconnect the front seat side airbag connector.

Disconnect the SRS front seat cushion airbag connector. (w/ SRS Front Seat Cushion Airbag)
Text in Illustration *1 Slider - - Place a finger on the slider, slide the slider to release the lock, and then disconnect the SRS front seat cushion airbag connector.
Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.

Move the seat to the rearmost position.
Using an E10 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.
Lift up the seat track adjusting handle. (w/ Vertical Adjuster)
Remove the front seat assembly.

- Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
