Exhaust Manifold (For Sedan) -- Removal |
| 1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER CENTER FINISH PANEL |
 |
Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips and remove the instrument panel finish panel lower center.
| 2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH |
 |
Disengage the 6 claws and 3 clips and remove the instrument panel finish panel end LH.
| 3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle) |
Remove the shift lever knob.
 |
| 4. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX UPPER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Shift the shift lever into the N position.
 |
Disengage the 5 clips and the claw and remove the upper console panel.
| 5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Disengage the 3 clips and 3 claws.
 |
Disconnect the connector and remove the console upper rear panel.
| 6. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET |
 |
Remove the console box carpet.
| 7. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY |
Disconnect the clamp.
 |
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws.
Disengage the 4 claws and remove the rear console box.
| 8. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PAD LH |
 |
Remove screw <I>.
Disengage the claw and 3 clips and remove the instrument panel pad lower.
| 9. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP |
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the 2 front wiper arm head caps.
 |
| 10. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH |
Operate the wiper, then stop the windshield wiper motor in the automatic stop position.
 |
Remove the nut and front wiper arm.
| 11. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH |

- Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
| 12. REMOVE COWL SIDE VENTILATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and remove the cowl side ventilator sub-assembly LH.
 |
| 13. REMOVE COWL SIDE VENTILATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
| 14. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Disengage the 3 clips, the 4 claws and the 8 hooks.
 |
Remove the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly.
Disconnect the washer hoses.
 |
Disengage the 5 hooks.
| 15. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK |
Remove the 2 bolts.
 |
Slide the wiper link. Disengage the meshing of the rubber pin, then disconnect the connector and remove the front wiper motor and link.
| 16. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL |
 |
Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front air shutter seal RH.
| 17. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL |
Disengage the wire harness clamp.
 |
Remove the 2 bolts and remove the cowl top to cowl inner brace.
 |
Remove the 8 bolts and remove the cowl top panel outer.
 |
| 18. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR |
Disconnect the sensor connector.
Remove the grommet and pass the sensor connector out of the cabin through the floor panel.
Using SST, remove heated oxygen sensor.

| 19. REMOVE EXHAUST TAIL PIPE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.
Remove the 3 No. 4 exhaust pipe supports and the exhaust tail pipe assembly.
| 20. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY |
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.
Remove 3 No. 4 exhaust pipe support and the front exhaust pipe assembly.
Remove the 2 exhaust pipe gaskets.
| 21. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR |

Remove the 4 bolts and remove the No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator.
| 22. REMOVE MANIFOLD SUPPORT BRACKET |
 |
Remove the 3 bolts and remove the manifold support bracket.
| 23. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD |
 |
Remove the 2 nuts and 3 bolts and remove the exhaust manifold.
