  1. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PISTON

  2. REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

  3. REMOVE PISTON SEAL

  4. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG CAP

  5. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE BLEEDER PLUG

Rear Brake (For Hatchback Disc Type) -- Disassembly


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
  2. The following procedure listed is for the LH side.


1. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE PISTON

  1. Using SST, remove the rear disc brake piston by turning it counterclockwise.

    SST
    09719-12010(09719-01030)
    NOTICE:
    1. Do not damage the rear disc brake piston.
    2. Do not allow any brake fluid to spatter.
    HINT:
    For the RH side, turn the rear disc brake piston clockwise.


2. REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

  1. Remove the cylinder boot from the rear disc brake piston.



3. REMOVE PISTON SEAL

  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the piston seal from the rear disc brake cylinder assembly.

    Do not damage the inner surface or piston seal groove of the rear disc brake cylinder assembly.
