DESCRIPTION

In this circuit, the compressor receives a refrigerant compression demand signal from the air conditioning amplifier.
Based on this signal, the compressor changes the degree of refrigerant compression.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REGULATOR CONTROL CURRENT)
  1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the tester on.

  1. Select the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data List /

  1. According to the display on tester, read the "Data List".

    Data List / Air Conditioner:

    Tester Display

    Regulator Control Current
    Regulator control current /
    Min.: 0 A
    Max.: 0.997 A
    Value changes between 0 A and 0.997 A in accordance with compressor and pulley operation

  1. Disconnect the C8 compressor and pulley connector.

  1. Measure the resistance.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    C8-1 - C8-2
    10.1 to 11.1 Ω at 25°C (77°F)
  1. Reconnect the compressor and pulley connector.

  1. Disconnect the C8 compressor and pulley connector.

  1. Disconnect the E8 air conditioning amplifier connector.

  1. Measure the resistance.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    C8-1 - E8-7 (SOL+)
    Below 1 Ω
    C8-1 - Body ground
    10 kΩ or higher
  1. Reconnect the compressor and pulley connector.

  1. Reconnect the air conditioning amplifier connector.
