  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH

Steering Pad Switch (For Sedan) -- Removal


CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000KT10D1X.html).


1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.


2. REMOVE STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY

  1. Using "Torx" socket wrench T30, loosen the 2 bolts completely.

  1. Pull the steering pad toward you.

  1. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, release the locking button.

  1. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, disconnect the 2 connectors.

  1. Detach the horn terminal.



3. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the screw.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and the pin.

  1. Remove the steering pad switch LH.
