  1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

  2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly (For Hatchback) -- Removal



1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

  1. Remove the 7 clips, 2 screws and 4 grommets and remove the front fender liner.

    HINT:
    The grommet needs to be replaced with a new one because it will break when it is removed.


2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and the hood lock.

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable.

  1. Disconnect the connector.

    HINT:
    If the hood lock assembly is equipped with engine hood courtesy switch, disconnect the connector.


3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Disengage the 3 claws and remove the hood lock control lever.

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable.



4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.
