  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

  3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly (For Sedan) -- Removal



1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL


2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

  1. Remove the 7 screws.

  1. Remove the 4 grommets.

    HINT:
    The grommet needs to be replaced with a new one because it will break when it is removed.

  1. Remove the 7 clips and remove the front fender liner LH.



3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector and clamp.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and remove the hood lock assembly.

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable.



4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock control lever.



5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


  1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.

  1. Pull the cable from the engine compartment and remove it.
