DATA LIST
HINT:
Using the Techstream to read the Data List allows the values or of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.
NOTICE:
In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.
  1. Warm up the engine.

  2. Turn the ignition switch off.

  3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

  4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  5. Turn the Techstream on.

  6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / All Data.

  7. In accordance with the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

ACTIVE TEST
HINT:
Using the Techstream to perform Active Tests allows relays, VSVs, actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.
It is possible to display the Data List during the Active Test.
  1. Warm up the engine.

  2. Turn the ignition switch off.

  3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

  4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  5. Turn the Techstream on.

  6. Select the following items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test.

  7. In accordance with the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

*: Activate the Solenoid (SLT) in the Active Test is performed to check the line pressure changes by connecting SST to the automatic transaxle, which is used in the Hydraulic Test (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000W7B0IJX.html) as well.

    HINT:
The pressure values in Active Test and Hydraulic Test are different from each other.
