Shift Paddle Switch -- Installation |
| 1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH AND RH |

Connect the No. 1 switch wire connectors to the LH and RH transmission shift switches and install a new cable tie to each switch at the location shown in the illustration to secure the wire in place.
Install the LH and RH transmission shift switches to the steering wheel with the 2 screws.

Pass the switch wire through the grooves of the lower steering boss cover.
 |
| 2. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY |

w/ Bluetooth:
Attach the 2 pins to install the 2 steering pad switches, and then install the 2 screws.
w/o Bluetooth:
Attach the 2 pins to install the steering pad switch and steering wheel ornament, and then install the 2 screws.
Connect the transmission shift switch connector and attach the steering pad switch harness connector to the steering wheel.
| 3. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (for LHD) |
Align the matchmarks and install the steering wheel to the steering column.

Install the nut.
- Torque:
- 50 N*m{510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf}
Connect all the connectors to the spiral cable.
| 4. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY (for RHD) |
Align the matchmarks and install the steering wheel to the steering column.

Install the nut.
- Torque:
- 50 N*m{510 kgf*cm, 37 ft.*lbf}
Connect all the connectors to the spiral cable.
| 5. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL PAD ASSEMBLY |
Install the steering wheel pad (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001DNN00SX.html).
| 6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
| 7. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT |
Check the SRS warning light (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000XFD06JX.html).
