DESCRIPTION

The 4WD control ECU receives signals from each sensor to control clutch fluid pressure for limiting the center differential operation, which distributes torque according to the driving conditions.

    - IG1 voltage is 9.5 V or more.
    - Current is either 0 A or greater than 0.8 A .
    - Open or short occurs in the linear solenoid circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
HINT:
Check the condition of each related circuit connector before troubleshooting (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000UZ306OX.html).
1.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (4WD CONTROL ECU BSLC TERMINAL)
  1. Disconnect the E67 ECU connector.

  1. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

    Standard voltage:
    Tester Connection

  1. Remove the coupling connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the solenoid.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    1 (BSF) - 2 (SLC)
    2.2 to 2.6 Ω
    1 (BSF) - Body ground
    10 kΩ or higher
    2 (SLC) - Body ground
    10 kΩ or higher
