INSPECT BACK DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - DOOR LOCK)

POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM - Only Back Door LOCK / UNLOCK Functions do not Operate


DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU receives lock / unlock switch signals and activates the door lock motor accordingly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.INSPECT BACK DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35.Door Lock.Power Door Lock Control System.Power Door Lock Control System  Only Back Door Lock / Unlock Functions Do Not Operate
  1. Apply the battery voltage to the door lock motor and check the operation of the door lock motor.

    OK:
    Measurement Condition
    Specified Condition
    Battery positive (+) → 4 (ACT+)
    Battery negative (-) → 1 (ACT-)
    Lock
    Battery positive (+) → 1 (ACT-)
    Battery negative (-) → 4 (ACT+)
    Unlock
  1. Measure the resistance of the door lock position switch.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Switch Condition
    Specified Condition
    7 (S) - 8 (E)
    Lock
    10 kΩ or higher
    7 (S) - 8 (E)
    Unlock
    Below 1 Ω

2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - DOOR LOCK)

  1. w/ Double Locking System:

    1. Disconnect the S10 door lock connector.

    2. Disconnect the IH junction block connector.

    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance:
      Tester Connection
      Specified Condition
      S10-1 (ACT-) - IH-18 (ACT-)
      Below 1 Ω
      S10-4 (ACT+) - IH-17 (ACT+)
      Below 1 Ω
      S10-7 (S) - E18-10 (LSWP)
      Below 1 Ω
      S10-8 (E) - Body ground
      Below 1 Ω
  1. w/o Double Locking System:

    1. Disconnect the S10 door lock connector.

    2. Disconnect the E18 ECU connector.

    3. Disconnect the IH junction block connector.

    4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance:
      Tester Connection
      Specified Condition
      S10-1 (ACT-) - IH-18 (ACT-)
      Below 1 Ω
      S10-4 (ACT+) - IH-17 (ACT+)
      Below 1 Ω
      S10-7 (S) - E18-13 (LSWB)
      Below 1 Ω
      S10-8 (E) - Body ground
      Below 1 Ω
