Floor Shift Assembly Removal

Transmission. Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY

Floor Shift Assembly -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Turn the shift lever knob counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.



3. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the rear console box sub-assembly (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001RHJ00GX.html).



4. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the control cable from the shift lever.

  1. Turn the lock nut counterclockwise. While holding the lock nut, disconnect the transmission control cable from the shift lever retainer.



5. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and floor shift assembly.

  1. Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the clamp.
