INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)
INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET (for Bank 1)
Air Fuel Ratio Sensor -- Installation |
| 1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1) |
Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor (for bank 1).
- SST
- 09224-00010
- Torque:
- 40 N*m{408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf} for use with SST
- 44 N*m{449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf} for use without SST
- HINT:
- Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.81 in.).
- Make sure that SST and a wrench are connected in a straight line.

| 2. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Bank 1) |
Install a new gasket as shown in the illustration.
 |
Install the manifold with the 6 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.
- Torque:
- 21 N*m{214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf}
 |
| 3. INSTALL MANIFOLD STAY (for Bank 1) |
Install the manifold stay with the 2 bolts and nut in the order shown in the illustration.
- Torque:
- 34 N*m{347 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf}
 |
| 4. INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) |
| 5. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) |
Install a new gasket.
Install the front exhaust pipe assembly with the 2 nuts.
- Torque:
- 62 N*m{632 kgf*cm, 46 ft.*lbf}
| 6. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET (for Bank 1) |
Install the No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket with the 2 bolts.
- Torque:
- 21 N*m{214 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf}
| 7. INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) |
Install 2 new gaskets.
Install the center exhaust pipe assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
- Torque:
- 43 N*m{440 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf}
| 8. INSTALL NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) |
Using a vernier caliper, measure the free length of the compression spring.
- Minimum length:
- 41.5 mm (1.634 in.)

Fully insert a new gasket to the center exhaust pipe assembly.
Using a plastic hammer and wooden block, tap in the new gasket until its surface is flush with the center exhaust pipe assembly.
- NOTICE:
- Be sure to install the gasket in the correct direction.
- Do not reuse the gasket.
- Do not damage the gasket.
- Do not push in the gasket by using the exhaust pipe when connecting it.

Connect the No. 2 exhaust pipe sub-assembly to the 3 exhaust pipe supports.
Install the No. 2 exhaust pipe sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.
- Torque:
- 43 N*m{440 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf}
| 9. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 2) |
Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor (for bank 2).

- Torque:
- 40 N*m{408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf} for use with SST
- 44 N*m{449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf} for use without SST
- HINT:

- Make sure that SST and a wrench are connected in a straight line.

Connect the sensor connector.
