  1. INSTALL STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY

  2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. INSPECT STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY

  4. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

Steering Pad (For 1Az-Fe, 2Az-Fe) -- Installation


CAUTION:

1. INSTALL STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35.Supplemental Restraint System.Airbag System.Steering Pad (For 1Az-Fe, 2Az-Fe) Installation

  1. Support the steering pad with one hand as shown in the illustration.

  1. Connect the 2 airbag connectors.

    NOTICE:
    When handling the airbag connector, do not damage the airbag wire harness.

  1. Connect the horn connector.

  1. Install the steering pad after confirming that the circumference grooves of the screws are caught on the screw case.

  1. Using a T30 "torx" driver, install the 2 screws.

    Torque:
    8.8 N*m{90 kgf*cm, 78 in.*lbf}


2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


3. INSPECT STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY

  1. Check for cuts, cracks or discoloration on the steering pad outer surface and in the grooved portion.

  1. Check that the horn sounds.



4. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

  1. Check the SRS warning light (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000XFD06JX.html).
