Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY

Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the intake air surge tank assembly (RAV4_ACA30 RM000002YO400RX.html).



3. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35.2Gr-Fe Engine Control System.Sfi System.Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly Removal

  1. Disconnect the 4 oil control valve connectors.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 oil control valves.

  1. Remove the O-ring from each oil control valve.
