Fuel Pressure Regulator Installation

Apply a light coat of gasoline to 2 new O-rings and install them onto the fuel pressure regulator.

Install the fuel pressure regulator to the fuel filter.

Connect the fuel pump connector.

Install the fuel pump spacer to the fuel pump assembly.

Apply gasoline to a new O-ring and install the O-ring to the fuel pump.

Attach the 5 claws to the holes to install the fuel pump.

Attach the 2 claws to the holes to install the No. 1 fuel suction support.

Attach the 2 claws to the holes and install the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

Connect the wire harness connector.

Install the 2 springs to the fuel suction plate shafts, and then install them to the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

Using needle-nose pliers, install a new E-ring.

HINT:

Slightly lower the fuel suction plate to install the E-ring.

Install a new gasket onto the fuel suction with pump.

Connect the fuel hose with the paint mark facing towards the top of the vehicle, and then secure the clip.

Install the fuel suction with pump into the fuel tank.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the fuel suction with pump.

Install the set plate with the 8 bolts.

Torque:

4.0 N*m{41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf}

Install the fuel tube with the joint clip.

NOTICE:

1. Check that there are no scratches or foreign objects on the connecting parts.
   
2. Check that the fuel tube joint is inserted securely.
   
3. Check that the fuel tube joint clip is on the collar of the fuel tube joint.
   
4. After installing the tube joint clip, check that the fuel tube joint cannot be pulled off.
   
5. Be careful not to damage the clip. If the clip is damaged, replace it.
   

Connect the purge line hose and air inlet line hose to the fuel suction plate.

HINT:

Make sure the direction of the hose clamps are as indicated in the illustration.

Connect the fuel emission hose to the fuel suction plate.

HINT:

Firmly push the tube connector until a "click" sound is heard.

NOTICE:

1. Before connecting the hose, check if there is any damage or foreign matter in the hose or connector.
   
2. Check that the connector is connected by pulling on it.
