Ignition Switch (W/O Entry And Start System) Removal

Engine. Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35
2Az-Fe Starting. Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER LOWER

  3. REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

Ignition Switch (W/O Entry And Start System) -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER LOWER

  1. Detach the 4 claws, release the tilt lever and remove the steering column cover lower.



3. REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector.

  1. Disconnect the ignition key cylinder light connector.

  1. Remove the 2 screws and ignition switch.
