DESCRIPTION
The main body ECU and combination meter are connected with a cable and a CAN communication line. DTC B2282 is stored when signals, transmitted through the cable and the communication line, do not match.DTC Code

| Both conditions are met:
- Signals between the main body ECU and combination meter are inconsistent.
- Malfunction is detected in the circuit between the vehicle speed sensor and combination meter.

The skid control ECU converts these signals into 4-pulse signals and sends them to the combination meter. After these signals are converted into a more precise rectangular waveform by the waveform shaping circuit inside the combination meter, they are then transmitted to the main body ECU. The main body ECU determines the vehicle speed based on the frequencies of these pulse signals.DTC Code

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL) |
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the intelligent tester on.
Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.
Read the display on the intelligent tester.

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - COMBINATION METER) |
Disconnect the IC instrument panel junction block connector.
Disconnect the E22 combination meter connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Temporarily replace the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) with a new or normally functioning one.
Check that the engine starts normally.
