VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM - TRC OFF Indicator Light Remains ON


DESCRIPTION

for 4WD with multi information display:
The TRC OFF indicator is displayed on the multi information display in the combination meter.
for 4WD without multi information display:
The TRC OFF indicator light is located in the combination meter.
The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via the CAN communication system.
Pressing the VSC OFF switch turns off traction control and pressing and holding this switch turns off traction and VSC controls. If TRC control turns off, the TRC OFF indicator (light) comes on.

When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001K1O00SX.html).
1.CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

  1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001W16002X.html).

2.INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR

  1. Check if the skid control ECU connector is securely connected.

    The connector is securely connected.

  1. Check the battery voltage.

  1. Remove the VSC OFF switch (RAV4_ACA30 RM00000210100AX.html).

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
