INSPECTION PROCEDURE
CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (ABS WARNING LIGHT)
VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM - ABS Warning Light Remains ON |
DESCRIPTION
If any of the following conditions are detected, the ABS warning light remains on:- The ECU connectors are disconnected from the skid control ECU.
- There is a malfunction in the skid control ECU internal circuit.
- There is an open or short in the wire harness between the combination meter and the skid control ECU.
- HINT:
- The intelligent tester may not be used when there is a malfunction in the skid control ECU.

- When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001K1O00SX.html).

Check if the skid control ECU connector is properly installed.
- OK:
- The skid control ECU connector is properly installed.

Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Start the engine.
Select the Active Test mode on the intelligent tester (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000ONK01EX.html).
