Combustion Type Power Heater System -- Diagnosis System |
- NOTICE:
- The cause of failures (such as abnormal voltage, overheat, a short-circuit, breakage of functional components, etc.) and repair methods are shown by connecting the DTC tester and reading DTCs.
DIAGNOSTICS FUNCTION |
Connect connector A of the DTC tester to the vehicle wire harness, and connector B of the DTC tester to the power heater connector.
Start the engine.
Pressing the DTC calling button displays a 3-digit number DTC.
DESCRIPTION OF DISPLAY AND BUTTONS |
- AF: Current Malfunction (Blinking in the event of a current malfunction)
- Diag: DTC (Example: 064 Flame sensor break)
- Memory Clear buttons: Clear DTC memory (Press both buttons together for more than 2 seconds.)
- > Button: Scrolls up DTC memory (The 5 history codes can be stored.)
- < Button: Scrolls down DTC memory (The 5 history codes can be stored.)
FAULTY MEMORY |
The ECU is able to store up to 5 DTCs in memory. If it is full, new data is written over F5.
FAIL-SAFE |
If the glow plug breaks, the ECU detects the breakage and stops the automatic operation to prevent burner heater operation.
