1. INSPECT NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY


    Lexus Is250, Is220D. Gse20 Ale20

  1. Inspect the VSV resistance.

    1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance:
      Terminals
      		Resistance
      1 - 2
      		28.3 to 31.1 Ω
      If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly.

  1. Check VSV operation.

    1. Check the air does not flow from the port as shown in the illustration.
      If the result is not as specified, replace the VSV assembly.



      2. Lexus Is250, Is220D. Gse20 Ale20.2Ad-Fhv Emission Control.Emission Control System.Vacuum Switching Valve Inspection

    2. Apply battery voltage across the terminals.

    3. Check the air flows from the port as shown in the illustration.
      If the result is not as specified, replace the VSV assembly.
