Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor -- Inspection

1. INSPECT EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR (UPPER)

Inspect the resistance.
1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
  Standard resistance:
  Terminals
  Condition
  Resistance
  1 - 2
  20°C (68°F)
  214.8 kΩ
  HINT:
  The temperature indicated in "Condition" is the temperature of the exhaust gas temperature sensor.
  If the result is not as specified, replace the exhaust gas temperature sensor (upper).

2. INSPECT EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR (LOWER)

Inspect the resistance.
1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
