  1. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE FORK SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE RELEASE FORK SUPPORT

  5. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE FORK BOOT

  6. REMOVE CLUTCH COVER ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE CLUTCH DISC ASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE FORK SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the clutch release fork with the clutch release bearing assembly from the manual transmission assembly.



3. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING ASSEMBLY


    Lexus Is250, Is220D. Gse20 Ale20

  1. Remove the clutch release bearing assembly from the clutch release fork by pulling the assembly off in the direction of the arrow.

  1. Remove the release bearing hub clip from the clutch release bearing assembly.



4. REMOVE RELEASE FORK SUPPORT


    Lexus Is250, Is220D. Gse20 Ale20

  1. Remove the release fork support from the transmission assembly.



5. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE FORK BOOT


    Lexus Is250, Is220D. Gse20 Ale20

  1. Remove the clutch release fork boot from the transmission case.



6. REMOVE CLUTCH COVER ASSEMBLY

  1. Place matchmarks on the clutch cover assembly and on the flywheel sub-assembly.

  1. Loosen each set bolt 180° turn at a time until the spring tension is released.

    NOTICE:
    Following the order in the illustration, make sure to uniformly loosen the bolts 180° turn at a time.

  1. Remove the set bolts and pull off the clutch cover assembly.

    NOTICE:
    Do not drop the clutch disc assembly.


7. REMOVE CLUTCH DISC ASSEMBLY
NOTICE:
Keep the lining part of the clutch disc assembly, the pressure plate, and the surface of the flywheel sub-assembly away from oil and foreign matter.
