  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR

  3. SEPARATE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY

  4. SEPARATE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING

  5. REMOVE REAR UPPER NO. 1 CONTROL ARM

Rear Upper No. 1 Control Arm -- Removal



1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL


2. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR


    Lexus Is250, Is220D. Gse20 Ale20

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and the No. 2 differential support protector.



3. SEPARATE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY


    Lexus Is250, Is220D. Gse20 Ale20.Suspension.Suspension System.Rear Upper No. 1 Control Arm Removal

  1. Remove the bolt and nut (A), and separate the rear stabilizer link assembly and the height control sensor link bracket from the rear No. 2 suspension arm.



4. SEPARATE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING

  1. Remove the bolt and nut (B), and separate the rear shock absorber with coil spring from the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.



5. REMOVE REAR UPPER NO. 1 CONTROL ARM


    Lexus Is250, Is220D. Gse20 Ale20.Suspension.Suspension System.Rear Upper No. 1 Control Arm Removal

  1. Remove the bolt, nut, washer, and the rear No. 1 upper control arm from the rear axle carrier.

    NOTICE:
    Push the axle carrier downward.

  1. Remove the bolts, nuts, washers, and the rear upper No. 1 control arm from the rear suspension member.
