  1. INSPECT COOLING FAN RELAY

  2. INSPECT NO. 2 COOLING FAN RELAY

  3. INSPECT NO. 3 COOLING FAN RELAY

Cooling Fan Relay -- On-Vehicle Inspection



1. INSPECT COOLING FAN RELAY

  1. Remove the cooling fan relay from the engine room No. 1 relay block.

  1. Measure the resistance of the cooling fan relay.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    3 - 5
    		10 MΩ or higher
    3 - 5
    		Below 1 Ω
    (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
    If the result is not as specified, replace the cooling fan relay.

  1. Install the cooling fan relay to the engine room No. 1 relay block.



2. INSPECT NO. 2 COOLING FAN RELAY

  1. Remove the No. 2 cooling fan relay from the engine room No. 2 relay block.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    3 - 4
    		Below 1 Ω
    3 - 5
    		10 MΩ or higher
    3 - 5
    		Below 1 Ω
    (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
    If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 2 cooling fan relay.

  1. Install the No. 2 cooling fan relay to the engine room No. 2 relay block.



3. INSPECT NO. 3 COOLING FAN RELAY

  1. Remove the No. 3 cooling fan relay from the engine room No. 1 relay block.

  1. Measure the resistance of the No. 3 cooling fan relay.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    3 - 5
    		10 MΩ or higher
    3 - 5
    		Below 1 Ω
    (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
    If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 3 cooling fan relay.

  1. Install the No. 3 cooling fan relay to the engine room No. 1 relay block.
