  1. This DTC is detected when communication between the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU and the network gateway ECU stops for more than 10 seconds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK OPERATION

  1. Check that the power tilt and telescopic switch can operate the tilt and telescopic steering column normally.

    OK:
    Power tilt and telescopic switch can operate tilt and telescopic steering column normally.

REPLACE MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU

2.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

  1. Disconnect the L27 ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.

    Standard voltage:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    L27-2 (+B) - Body ground
    		10 to 14 V
    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    L27-11 (GND) - Body ground
    		Below 1 Ω

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

3.CHECK RESISTANCE OF COMMUNICATION LINE

  1. Disconnect the L27 and L66 ECU connectors.

  1. Disconnect the DA junction block connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    L27-5 (MPX1) - DA-20 (MPX1)
    		Below 1 Ω
    L66-14 (MPL2) - DA-26 (MPX1)
    		Below 1 Ω
    Result:
