Steering Pad Switch Cable Installation
INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH LH
INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH RH
INSTALL STEERING WHEEL PAD
INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER
INSTALL NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
Steering Pad Switch Cable -- Installation |
1. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH LH |
Hold the connector cover and connect the switch to the steering pad switch cable.
Attach the 2 claws and close the connector cover.
Attach the steering pad switch cable's tab to the switch, as shown in the illustration.
Attach the clip and 2 claws to install the switch.
Install the screw.
Connect the connectors.
2. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH RH |
Hold the connector cover and connect the switch to the steering pad switch cable.
Attach the 2 claws and close the connector cover.
Attach the steering pad switch cable's tab to the switch, as shown in the illustration.
Attach the clip and 2 claws to install the switch.
Install the screw.
3. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL PAD |
Support the steering pad with one hand as shown in the illustration.
Connect the 2 connectors to the steering pad.
- NOTICE:
- When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Connect the horn connector.
Confirm that the circumference groove of the "torx" screw fits in the screw case, and place the steering pad onto the steering wheel assembly.
Using a "torx" socket wrench (T30), tighten the 2 "torx" screws.
- Torque:
- 8.8 N*m{90 kgf*cm, 78 in.*lbf}
4. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER |
5. INSTALL NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER |
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION |
Perform initialization (Click here).
- NOTICE:
- Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT |
Check the SRS warning light (Click here).
