DESCRIPTION

A short to +B is suspected in the CAN bus line when there is continuity between terminals 16 (BAT) and 6 (CANH) or 16 (BAT) and 14 (CANL) of the DLC3.

1.CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT TO +B (DLC3 SUB BUS LINE)

1. Disconnect the DLC3 sub bus line connector (L81) from the D-CAN J/C B side (w/o earth terminal).
   

   NOTICE:

   1. Before disconnecting the connector, make a note of where it is connected.
      
   2. Reconnect the connector to its original position.
      

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard resistance:

   Tester connection	Condition	Specified value

1. Disconnect the clearance warning ECU connector (A40).
   

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard resistance:

1. Reconnect the power steering ECU sub bus line connector (L2) to the P-CAN J/C A side (w/ earth terminal).

49.CHECK CAN BUS LINES FOR SHORT TO +B (POWER STEERING ECU SUB BUS LINE)

1. Disconnect the power steering ECU connector (A24).
   

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard resistance:

1. Disconnect the ECM connector (A6).
   

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard resistance:
