Front Passenger Airbag Assembly Removal
DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE NO.1 DUCT
REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER NO.1 DUCT
REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
Front Passenger Airbag Assembly -- Removal |
1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.
2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY |

- Refer to the procedures up to "REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY".
3. REMOVE SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE NO.1 DUCT |
Remove the screw and duct.
4. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER NO.1 DUCT |
Remove the 3 screws and duct.
5. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY |
Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the instrument panel wire assembly from the front passenger airbag assembly.
- NOTICE:
- When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Remove the 2 screws.
Disengage the 5 hooks (A).
Disengage the 5 hooks (B) and remove the front passenger airbag assembly from the instrument panel.
